Developing & Teaching Superior Online Courses Workshop

Open to full and part-time faculty who are planning on teaching an online course for the first time. The workshop will provide focus on tactics and strategies verified as successful in the teaching of online courses. You can receive a $1000.00 award (from ATS) as recognition of the success you achieved in the significant endeavor of creating a ‘Superior Online Course’. This is a five-week course that will require participation in and completion of online modules. A voluntary "Informational Sharing Day" will be scheduled in the fall.

 

New Approaches to Teaching Online Courses

Open to full and part-time faculty who have previously taught an online course(s). This workshop will provide you with the training, skills, and knowledge base needed to continue teaching Blackboard distance learning courses effectively, utilizing the most recent pedagogical and technology tools/approaches. You can receive a $1000.00 award (from ATS) as recognition of the success you achieved in the significant endeavor of creating a ‘Superior Online Course’. This is a five-week course that will require participation in and completion of online modules. A voluntary “Informational Sharing Day” will be scheduled in the fall.

Only those faculty members who began teaching online courses for the first time during the Academic Years 1998 – 1999, 1999 – 2000, 2000—2001, and 2001—2002 can enroll in the June, 2005 “New Approaches to Teaching Online Courses” workshop.
