Disabilities Services (http://www.findlay.edu/offices/disabilities/)
The Office
of Disability Services (ODS) is a resource center that provides information
about disabilities and accommodations for qualified students and faculty.
Eligibility for services is determined through current documentation
of a disability that causes significant functional impact in the educational
setting. Once appropriate documentation has been received, ODS will
interview the student to determine the most appropriate accommodations.
Students must request these accommodations each semester. All services
are provided free of charge. Specific services the ODS can coordinate
include note-takers, sign language interpreters, tape recorders, extended
time on tests, minimal-distraction testing area, letters of introduction
to faculty, student advocacy, temporary disability plans, and campus
orientations. Books on tape, student tutors, and adaptive housing
