"I
see my work in the area of Academic Technology Services (ATS)
as a way of continuing the tradition of the collegial sharing

reality." |

"With
the advent of the computer age and the attendant exponential
growth of human knowledge, life long learning is really here...now.
It is therefore imperative that tools, devices or methods used
in the teaching/learning process be readily accessible (anytime
and anywhere), engaging and easy to use. The TLTC staff is dedicated
to helping faculty bring that version to reality." |

"I
love the opportunity to watch faculty make headway in their
professional development and creation of classroom materials,
no matter how small the progress may be. It is a joy to meet
different faculty and learn about what they do. This gives
me the opportunity to introduce them to new technology tools
that they might not have otherwise considered using.

enjoy working with faculty members in order to introduce advanced
technology into the design of their teaching materials. Throughout

"Our
support staff at the Teaching, Learning and Technology Center
provides wonderful resources for faculty to learn and incorporate
new ideas into their classroom teaching, both traditional and
online. We provide a relaxed, casual environment for faculty
to experiment with new technology "toys", work with
staff on individual projects, or just come and have a cup of
coffee. I enjoy being able to help faculty members meet their
needs." |

"In
my previous job I spent all day working on computers, with very
little human interaction. Working for Academic Technology Services
at the TLTC gives me the opportunity to not only work with technology,
but also to interact with the faculty. Few things brighten up
my day more than explaining a simple technical concept to a
faculty member, and seeing the 'light-bulb' moment. The excitement
is contagious.

|
"My
work at the TLTC has been a logical continuation of years
of helping colleagues with technology. Even in graduate school,
I was viewed as a "go to" person who could explain
technology to novice technology users and content to technology
experts. I thrive on the exciting cross-disciplinary environment
here at The University of Findlay, and enjoy helping our faculty
experiment with new ideas and innovative technology."
|
Mr.
Brian Reynard

began work with the TLTC in the summer of 2004. Brian primarily
reviews and critiques Academic Technology Services materials
for aesthetic and visual communicative capability as well
as assisting the ATS/TLTC staff in assigned special projects.
|
"Artistically
I gravitate towards chaos with an underlying order. My artwork
generally consists of a rigid, meticulously built architectural
structure created within a 3D application, which is then systematically
torn apart and frozen in tension. My work here is the opposite,
and is just as interesting to me. I start with a given idea/concept
from the TLTC and try and present it with a strict emphasis
on order and usability contained within a clean, streamlined
presentation.

"I
really enjoy being able to help and train the faculty on the
use of Blackboard. I believe that by helping the faculty use
Blackboard more easily and efficiently, I am doing my small
part to make our University grow and become a major innovator
of higher education." |
